My week in quarantine.

Yesterday i heard about the covid 19 on the news. Auckland was in lock down, level 4. Some of my family members went to go get food for us to eat, also people had to wear masks. Today i was in bed watching videos and playing games. I woke up and had toast for breakfast. For lunch I had biscuits with tea. At 7:32 I had hot dogs and french fries also burgers. After that I went to go sit down and blog about today. I hope everyone is safe at home. 

The Monarch Show

Today I am telling a story about the monarch show. 

On Tuesday all students went to the hall for a monarch show. There were two ladys that were the characters. In the beginning There was a girl named Leah. She had a grandma. Leah and her grandma went to the winter forest to go see the butterflies. That’s when grandma left already but Leah did not go yet. Leah was trying to write her speech about the butterflies. That’s when Leah heard fart and burping noises. It came from a … caterpillar. The caterpillar was the one that made all those noises. 

Then it lifted up it’s bottom and did a big fart! It blew Leah away to the ground. When grandma went to the winter forest Mrs Collywood was destroying the winter forest. Then Grandma was very upset about what Mrs Collywood would do. Mrs Collywood was going to bring out the tree where the butterflies lived. She said that the hole was going to be filled with concrete. But grandma's scientist was shocked about what Mrs Collywood said. So she went on her phone and called the people to stop Mrs Collywood, but Mrs Collywood took the phone off grandma scientist.

 They started to fight when Mrs Collywoods nana needed help so she left and Grandma scientist fell. Then Leah came to help her grandma. Then Leah left back home to finish her speech. Then the caterpillar came back and told Leah it didn’t want to change. So Leah told the caterpillar about changing and then the caterpillar said that Leah wanted it to change. So the caterpillar left.

 Then Mrs Collywood came to work and saw grandma scientist again. They fighted and argued. Then when Mrs Collywood had a call from her mum she rushed to the hospital to her nana. Then said sorry to grandma scientist. Then grandma scientist left. Then Leah found a machine. Then she pressed a button that made a person come and did them again and this lady was telling the girls to hide from the police. It was a bit funny. Then her grandma came back from the winter forest. The end.  

The Lions Cage.

Today Adsett class were watching a video about Charlie Chaplin. He was the best silent actor. He was born on April 16th 1889 in London and England. He died on December 25th 1977. 

We had to think what was happening in the movie of the lions cage. He was running from a horse and went into a lions cage. The lion was sleeping so he tried to be quite or else the lion will wake up. He tried to escape the cage. Then he tried to open the door but it would not open.

 He saw a woman that was getting her puppy, then she saw the lion and faked her fainting. Then he got a banner from his pocket and shock it.

He went to get a trey and pored it on the ground of the cage. Then he saw a little door that slides up and go's though but there was a tiger in that cage.  Then he went out and tried to be quiet but then the lion woke up because he spilled the water but the lion did not eat him he just did not care.

 So then the lion just came and smelled him. Then he called the woman to come open the door and lion roared at him and he ran out of the cage and the lady followed him. He went to a pole and climbed it and the lady told him to come down. 

2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Today all seniors went on a trip to the Olympics. We went into the bus and drove off. The name of the place was 2020 Tokyo Olympics Fun zone. Then we went to the grass and asked some questions about Debbie Tanner. There were another class that were at the grass with us. Then we had to answer the questions about the Olympics. Some kids won a prize from each class. Then Hay Park seniors went to the game zone. Me and Loiloi were together and went to play the games. The first one was the ocean game so when the waves come on top of you then you have to duck. The next game we played was a game when you have to jump. Then we saw a game were you have to race , me and loiloi raced and she won. Then we were not to run but fast walking. The next game i played was a ring game. So you have to get a five rings into the stand in the middle. Then i went to the bridge that was wiggly and was so hard to go to the end. Then we had to swap with the other class the place we went was the Olympic sports. The first one that my fiend and i went to was the game were u have to swim but on the little flat trolley. I was vs Martha. We all had turns on doing the activity. We only had ten minutes to do it. Then we swapped to another place and went to other activity. Then we all went to the gigantic skateboard that was called Eke Tahi. We took a photo near the skateboard. Then we went to the place were we watch people racing in a boat. We were all cheering for New Zealand to win and they won but the next lap New Zealand came second place. After that we went outside to the bus to go back to school.

Bike Riding Lessons

On Tuesday we went to go biking. First we had to know about the rule before doing the other things.The coach were Josh and Lani. The rules were to respect  have fun listen carefully. Then we went to go get our helmets. After we got our helmets we had to do our helmet check. After that they called out the kids that don't know how to ride a bike. Then the others went to go and pick there own bike. I got a big black bike. We played some game and ride around the courts. Then we did a challenge.  it was amazing also the red team got to have more time to bike. The other teams did not because they lost also my team lost. Then we went back to class.

Last session of Taekwondo

Hello Followers, 

This our last session of taekwondo and we also learned some things. The best one that i enjoyed was the last one that we did because we get to break the board with our feet.We all got turns and the green board  was so hard but the white and yellow was so easy to break . I also The colour of the board was White ,Green , Yellow, Blue, and Black . I also enjoyed that when we got pool noodles and hit people softly but  some people were hitting hard and it was really mean and we had to stop because they were hitting hard. Also we did some kicking and punches and it was really fun. We have on Fridays and maybe after lunch or morning tea. Me and my friends and other kids really enjoyed taekwondo . I learned how to kick punch and break things with our feet.  I really miss having fun at taekwondo.

Adsett Won Subway

Today Adestt class won subway. We won subway for doing the quiz survey about our neighbours. We won it on the 5th of July. We also had visitors that came. First before we eat the food was to take a photo. Our sandwich had cumbers lettuce tomato and ham. Some of the visitors were from Kainga Ora. The Wonder Project - Finial Test Flight

Today Adsett class went to room 8 for our last test flight. Colm and Mrs Shrestha and Mrs Eagleson
were there. Mrs Shrestha showed us a video for Colm for all the teaching he has done for us. Then Adsett class gave him a card with the photo's of him and said thank you. Then Adsett class went out first to Keith Hay Park to launch our rocket's. The team that went up first where Team Wonder. We counted and there went the rocket. That rocket went 25.30m for Team Wonder, we had to put a flag to see how far it went. Team Wonder's flag was white. I got really excited to see the rocket fly. Then it was the Eagles 5 went up to launch there rocket. There rocket went 27.30m. That was little bit far then the Team wonders. Next up was rocket Inquisition. There rocket went the same as Eagles 5 rocket. Next up was My group which is called Rockets. Our rocket went 16m away. Up next was The Five Missions. There rocket went 37.6m away. That was pretty far. The winner that went far was the Five missions. Then we left Keith Hay Park. We went back to class. Thank you for reading my blog.

Tane - Mahuta Art - For Matariki

My class were making a star. We watched a video that showed us how to make the stars. First we had to cut out the two triangle. Then we cut them out. We went to the table and make it. We did some folding and colouring. We also wrote our goals and how we will achieve them. After we made a google drawing and made a picture about Tane Mahuta. Here is my piece of Art.

The Wonder Project - lesson 6 - second test fight

Hello Bloggers,

On Tuesday my class & I did a test launch with the rockets that we all made. After morning tea all the senior classes gathered up in room nine because the juniors were using the hall. We watched a video about what was Newton's third law. It was about reaction & action, after we watched the video each teacher from each class picked two students from their class to come up & blow balloons. After we counted down from three & then volunteers let go of their balloons. Everyone cheered & clapped for the the volunteers, then the second round Mrs Shrestha's volunteers had to blow their balloon big & Mrs Eagleson's students had to blow their balloon small & Mrs Odean's students had to blow their balloons medium.

 Then we went over the rules. Everyone went back to their classes & made sure that they got everything. Before the test launch we had to measure 350 ml of water into the rocket. We talked about the weight & safety we also talked about the things that we have been doing a few weeks ago. We also talked about what we have to do first before we launch our rocket's. We then went to Keith hay park & launched our rockets there. We cheered & clapped. When it was group's turn, my group chose 350 ml for water level & the PSI was 60, the next round for the water level it was 250 ml & for the PSI it was 40.

Short Cuts On Cromebook

Hello bloggers,

Today we learned how to use short cuts on your Chromebook. Keti & Mekhi told us how to use short cuts. The first short cut was how to track pad with your Chromebook. All you need to do is to get two fingers and click and some options will come up. The second one was how to copy and paste.

 

How to copy and paste is to high light your word the you want to use then press control c and then go to another page you want to put your word there and then press control v and your word will be there. The third one was how to make another tab. You need to press control t and that is it. The fourth one is how to take snippet screenshot. First you need to press the key control and shift overview and it will make it kinda a grey and then get your mouse and the you can screen shot it. 

For the fifth one it was how to reopen the last tab you were on. How to use it is to press control and shift t and that is how to do it. The sixth one was how to open a new window. How to do it is to press control n and yeah. The seventh one was how to close the current tab you were on. How to use it is to press control w. the eighth one was how to lock your Chromebook screen. how to use it is to press search and l the search button is the one the look like a magnifying glass.  That is all for today thank you for reading my blog. 

The Zoo Trip

Today on Wednesday the 19th the seniors went to the zoo. Then we went to the hall to have some breakfast. Then we went into the bus. It was room 6 & room 8 that was in the same bus. Some parents came & helped the teachers to come & help look after some kids in room 6. The people in my mums group were Keti & Emrico. Then the woman Lizzy came and talked about things to make sure you stay with and adult & also if you get lost you you go to an zoo keeper with an radio & they will help you find your group. Then we got maps & then we went to go find some spiders but we found a orangutan  & it was so amazing. Then found some other things like spiders , lizards, seals, penguin, ducks and yeah we had seen a lot of animals today. Then we had breaks & ate lunch. Then Lizzy told us that she is going to let us see some more animals. First we looked at the Giraffes & the Ostrich & Zebras. Then we looked at water buck , after we saw that we saw a big Rhino then the Nyala. After we saw spider monkeys & a Baboon , Meerkats , flamingos. The last thing that I loved were the Elephants. They were just amazing but they were leaving to Australia to another zoo. Then we got onto the bus & went back to school. Thank you for reading my blog.

The Wonder Project

Today me & the class went to the hall. We were there for our next step for our rocket. First we looked at a video. Also there were paper for making planes. The planes are for representing the rocket. When we throw the plane we give it force to fly , also we giving it our trust.  Then we build our own plane , Colm  told us how to make it  or if other kids can make there own planes. Then we sat down. One of the teachers said who would like to go up & show how far there plane  could go. Mehdi plane went so high. Then Emrico went up he threw his plane & also it  went to the back of the hall. Then other kids went up. Then we went back to class and build our rocket with the bottles. We got into our groups & build our rocket. First we got cardboard and drew the fins. Then we taped it to the bottle also we added some details to the bottles & the fins. Then we finished our rocket.
